Shorewood Police searching for suspect who pointed gun at victim attempting to leave driveway
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Shorewood Police are currently searching for an attempted armed robbery suspect.
Police responded to the 4300 block of N. Stowell Avenue around 7:10 a.m. Monday.
A resident was attempting to back their vehicle out of the driveway when a dark green or black older model Toyota 4-door pulled in and blocked them in.
Police say a suspect then got out of the Toyota and approached the passenger side of the victim's vehicle, opened the door, and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim. The suspect allegedly demanded property but the victim refused and the suspect ran back to the Toyota.
The Toyota was last seen westbound on Lake Bluff Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early 20's, 5'9, 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt.
There is currently no description available for the other occupants of the Toyota.
The victim was not injured.
