ELM GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A woman accused in a wild hit-and-run spree has made her first court appearance. Police say the 22-year-old woman stole at least two cars and hit several others during a joyride through Elm Grove.
Her family says 22-year-old Christine Faytus was a good kid who got mixed up with drugs. Her family also learned of her alleged crime spree from the news on Thursday.
"She kept the family under the assumption she was doing well, some other people in her life led us to believe she was still doing well, and she's not doing well obviously," said Amanda Nora, suspect's cousin.
Police say Faytus stole 2 cars and crashed them. She is now facing four felony charges and 3 misdemeanors.
Faytus was given a $40,000 cash bond during her first court appearance.
She will be back in court on December 7.
