Sheriff deputy injured in motorcycle crash

MILWAUKEE--A Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning.


The deputy was engaged in an escort operation when he was preparing to close down a freeway ramp on I-43 at S. 60th Street around 10:45 am.


But the 39-year-old deputy lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.


He was taken to Froedtert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.


Sheriff Clarke met with the deputy's family members at the hospital.


The deputy is a 16-year veteran of the Milwaukee County Sheriff Office.
