Sheboygan police investigating rollover crash on I-43, driver suffers life threatening injuries

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Sheboygan police are investigating a rollover crash on I-43 that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened Sunday, April 3 around 3 p.m. on I-43 near the 128 mile marker.

Three passengers in the vehicle were from Manitowoc. A 24-year-old man was driving and a 39-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were passengers at the time of the crash.  

Police say the initial investigation shows the vehicle was headed south on I-43 when it crossed over the median, rolled and ended up on the east shoulder of the freeway.

The driver was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life and he suffers life-threatening injuries. The two passengers were transported to a local hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The accident closed I-43 NB for three hours.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Several public safety agencies assisted during the assistant.
