Sheboygan man facing arson charges in connection to fire in church kitchen

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Sheboygan police say a 32-year-old man is facing arson charges after being taken into custody Tuesday, March 22.

Officers were called to a church near 12th and Washington Avenue for a report of suspicious circumstances. 

Upon arrival, they found two two-gallon gas containers left at the scene and evidence that someone had started a fire in the kitchen. 

Officials say no one was injured, but the kitchen sustained minor fire damage.

The suspect was taken into custody and charges will be referred to the DA's Office.
