MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Prosecutors say Quran Robey shot and killed 30-year-old Tynesha Crawford during an argument last Sunday near 33rd and Center. His first appearance in court was Saturday, Nov. 25. He is now being charged with first-degree intentional homicide, as well as multiple other counts, including possessing a firearm, and first-degree reckless injury.

His cash bond is set for $500,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 4.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Wednesday afternoon Maniyah Crawford, 13, Lemya Adams, 9, Jhe’nae King-Crawford, 5, and Marceil Wilburn, 1, play together next to an ottoman covered with toys.

And while the four siblings are laughing and chatting amongst themselves on the couch, there is a somber undertone in the air.

It's the first time that any family members have agreed to speak publicly since 30-year-old Tynesha Crawford was shot and killed in what Milwaukee police said is a domestic violence-related incident.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22 near 33rd and Center.

Crawford's children said there was an argument between Crawford, and her presumed boyfriend, Quran Robey, that suddenly began escalating while they were also inside of the house.

“All of a sudden it got quiet and then all you hear is pop pop pop," said Crawford's eldest daughter.

Her nine-year-old sister told CBS 58 she then ran into her mom's room to find her "laying on the floor."

"I said, whatchu mean my mama's gone?" Crawford said. “The police were already on the phone and my mama was just whispering stuff to me and I couldn’t understand what she was saying, but we think she was saying she loved us.”

Robey had already fled from the house.

He was ultimately arrested a day later in Oak Creek.

But those close to the mother-of-four said this should have never happened.

“I don’t care how bad a person argues with you, yells at you, that doesn’t give you the right to end their life especially in front of their children," said Destiny Glenn, one of Crawford's closest friends of more than 13 years.

Now the family and other loved ones are trying to heal from this tragic loss, remembering Crawford as a goofy, caring mother who loved to sing in the car with her kids.

"I be praying to my mama in my dreams and when I go to sleep," her five-year-old said.

Glenn created a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral arrangements, basic necessities, Christmas gifts, and necklaces for each of Crawford's children that will then be filled with her ashes.

"I'm probably gonna keep that necklace on even if I get older and older," said Adams. “One thing I really wanted to do before everything happened, is to spend time with my mama on my birthday… that’s the only thing I wanted to do for real, but now that I can’t do that... it’s okay I’ll find something else to do.”

They added that their mother dreamed of becoming a doctor one day and are now planning to carry on her legacy.

“She said never stop doing what you’re doing, like all your dreams that you got, nursing and all that, she said continue with your dreams," two of her daughters said. "She's my number one best friend.

While police have identified Robey as the suspect, he hasn't yet been charged.

He was also wanted in connection to another nonfatal shooting that happened the day before.
