Shaw's HR in the 8th give Brewers 3-2 win over Phillies

MILWAUKEE -- Travis Shaw hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning for a 3-2 Brewers win over the Phillies at Miller Park on Saturday, giving Milwaukee 11 wins in its last 13 games and pushing the Crew a season-high 11 games over .500.

Hernan Perez also homered for the Brewers, and Jimmy Nelson pitched into the seventh inning for his team-leading 11th quality start. Reliever Jacob Barnes induced a rally-killing double play in the eighth inning and was rewarded with a win thanks to Shaw. The Brewers third baseman connected against Phillies reliever Joaquin Benoit, and the win was closed by Brewers closer Corey Knebel, who stranded the tying run at second base in the ninth for save No. 16.
