MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin, and experts from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) are encouraging people to protect their homes against severe weather now and prepare yourself ahead of time for the next big thunderstorm.
The US has averaged more than 1,300 tornadoes each year for the past three years.
Dr. Ian Giammanco with IBHSÂ joined CBS 58 on Monday, April 4 to talk about things you can do now to prepare for severe weather and narrow the impact a bad storm may have on your life.
