ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- People living near an industrial chemical barrel refurbishing plant in St. Francis protested the smells on Thursday evening.
Some say that when the wind blows in their direction, the smell forces them to stay inside.
Several people say they are dealing with sinus problems and headaches because of it.
One person told CBS 58 News spoke that they want to get the attention of a much larger group.
"We're hoping we can push the EPA for them to see violations and to hold them accountable for their actions," said Amy Szuta, a St. Francis resident.
Earlier this year, three residents filed a class-action lawsuit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court alleging that the odors diminish residents' quality of life. Others may soon be joining that suit.
The march comes as the city council is poised to consider whether the embattled Mid-America is breaking local and state nuisance laws.
The Council will discuss it in a closed session next week.
