WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Both love and friendship were in the air at the Hardwood Place Senior Living Community in Wauwatosa this afternoon.
That is where residents gathered for their Palentine's Day celebration.
Residents were encouraged to share their stories of love and friendship over the years, shedding light on the importance of human connection, whether that be romantic or not.
"It takes a great deal of strength to give in, give up so that you can understand, and you can appreciate another point of view," said Bernard and Esther Windmiller, residents at Hardwood Place. "It does. But we've been so blessed."
The "Palentine's Book" was also available to browse, which was put together by residents, and illustrated all of their amazing stories of love and friendship.
