MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Democratic senators have announced a plan to restore funding to the Affordable Care Act's navigator program.
Navigators work as in-person assistants for families in the market for affordable health care, and help them pick the best plan.
Senator Tammy Baldwin says the "ENROLL Act" would restore funding to the program.
"Without these navigators, we have seen more challenges for people to enroll," Sen. Baldwin said.
Baldwin says the Trump administration has slashed funding for navigators by more than 80 percent since 2017.
