Semi slams into traffic waiting for train to pass in Kenosha County

At 11:35 AM Thursday morning Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle crash with injury in the 6500 block of Highway KR (First Street).

The investigation revealed that a semi driving east was stopped waiting for a train to pass. Two other cars behind the semi had also stopped to wait for the train. A second semi-truck driver did not realize the cars were stopped and slammed into both of the cars and the stopped semi.

One of the drivers of the cars was taken by Flight For Life to Froedtert for injuries.

Highway KR is currently closed for the investigation.
