RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A semi-truck caught fire after a crash on I-41/94 in Racine County early Thursday, July 23, closing the interstate in both directions between County Road K and Highway 20 for several hours.

The crash was reported just before 5 a.m.

Video sent to CBS 58 by a viewer shows the semi engulfed in flames and stretched across the median. The viewer described it as a multi-car crash.

Despite the size of the crash, there were only minor injuries, with two people receiving hospital care for minor injuries.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office handled the scene while crews put out the fire, removed the damaged vehicles and cleared the highway. All lanes reopened around 10 a.m.

Officials say that Department of Natural Resources officials responded due to the spill of fuel.
