Scattered Storms Turn into Searing Heat

Storm chances increase on Wednesday as a warm front begins to lift from the south.  We have a marginal risk of severe weather.  Heavy rain, frequent lightning, and large hail are all possible.

Behind the front, we'll be experiencing some of the warmest air we've seen in nearly three years.  Temperatures will be in the 90s, and with the humidity, it'll feel like 100+.

In fact, an Excessive Heat Watch is in place for Thursday and Friday.  Even Saturday, highs will approach 90 before cooling off into the low 80s on Sunday.  A few storms are also possible into and through the weekend.

Please pace yourself at the end of the week and limit your time outdoors.  Remember to check on the pets and elderly and get to a cooling center if you don't have air conditioning.  While you're at it, you can download the free CBS58 weather app to keep track of all the temperature changes and radar.
