July has been a wet month with plenty of thunderstorms and pockets of heavy rain. Milwaukee has picked up over 4" of rain so far this month. July of 2019 was also wet with over 3" of rain. The average through the first 20 days of the month is just under 2.50". Even in we didn't see any more rain this month it would go down as the 33rd wettest July on record.
Clouds will increase throughout Tuesday with scattered showers and storms rolling in just after lunchtime and lasting through the evening. The rain looks to be fairly scattered with some staying dry and others seeing heavy downpours with gusty wind.
Rain totals throughout the day look to be less than a half inch for most. Some could stay basically dry. Others that see stronger storms may get up to 1" of rain but this is not expected to be another soaking 2, 3 or 4" of rain like what we've see this month.
After Tuesday's rain chance we stay dry through the rest of the week with our next chance for rain rolling in Saturday evening. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the showers and storms.
