KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Vietnam vets and their service are highlighted on the menu at one local barbecue place. March 29 is the 46th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
Pork, brisket, and chicken sandwiches are all options at Mission BBQ in addition to a Lenten selection. A former Marine says he’s more than appreciative for what this restaurant is doing.
As far as his year-long tour in Southeast Asia, he says he has no regrets and he believes his time in service is invaluable even after all these years.
Mission BBQ has two locations locally: one in Brookfield and another in Kenosha. Free sandwiches for Vietnam vets will be served until 10:00 p.m. Friday, March 29.
