Salvation Army Red Kettle stolen in Glendale

GLENDALE-Somebody stole the Salvation Army Red Kettle from the Pick N' Save grocery store on 17th and Silver Spring around 6:30 Monday night.

The charity has no idea how much money might have been inside.

The theft comes at a time when donations are already down, but the Salvation Army is keeping its spirits up.

\"I think It's frustrating to the bell ringers, to the volunteers and definitely to the donors,\" Faith Colas, Salvation Army Community Relations Director told CBS 58 News.

\"We're hopeful that Milwaukee will continue to be generous in their donations and help us meet our red kettle campaign.\"

Donations can also be made online at SA.org.

The Salvation Army is also reminding folks about its annual Christmas Feast on Christmas Day at the Wisconsin Center from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

It is free and open to everyone, but donations are appreciated if you can make them at this time.
