MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Bells are ringing, and that means it is a perfect time to dig into your wallet to help local community members who are in need.
Major Beverly Gates, area commander of the Salvation Army of Milwaukee County, joined us Friday, Dec. 5 to chat about the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
She discussed how the campaign is progressing, the timeline for donations and Celebrity Bell Ringing Day. She also explained how people can donate if they can't find a red kettle and where to find more information.
CBS 58's own morning anchors Alex Corradetti and Frankie Jupiter are competing as celebrity bell ringers through Thursday, Dec. 11. The two will ring bells at the Milwaukee Public Market Thursday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to noon. Last year, they raised the most money among celebrity bell ringers and set a new record.
Donations can be made by clicking here and remember that you can find Alex and Frankie's link as the second in the dropdown box.
