’Good Deed Days’ kicks off for the second year in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Salvation Army is aiming to ensure that local families receive toys during this holiday season.
The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is set to begin its annual toy shop distribution starting Thursday, Dec. 15.
Volunteers have been sorting and boxing up toys for kids in Southeast Wisconsin for several weeks leading up to the event.
People who registered for the distribution will be able to pick up the toys starting Thursday at the Salvation Army distribution center on N. 60th St. from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Families were able to sign up to be able to pick up new toys for their children, free of charge. While that sign-up period for the distribution is over, the Salvation Army still recommends families in need contact them. Information about how to do so can be found on their website.
