RACINE COUNTY, Wis. – A Salem man is in custody after he drove off from a traffic stop and led officers on a slow chase through Kenosha and Racine Counties.
Around 9:15 p.m., Kenosha Police did a traffic stop near 57th Street and 22nd Avenue. During the stop, officers brought out the K-9 unit when the suspect took off.
Kenosha Police soon ended the pursuit. Then the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department used spike strips to stop him.
Video shows the suspect driving with just the rims over the spike strips.
The driver has not been charged but investigators identified the suspect as David Seal, 31.
The Racine County Sheriff's Department did a PIT maneuver causing the driver to stop in a ditch on Sheridan Road. Seal has not gone through court yet and he’s being held on a probation hold.
