Rodgers, starters impress again in preseason win

GREEN BAY - The most important game of the preseason turned out to be the Packers' most impressive game as well.

Eddie Lacy ran for 36 yards and a touchdown on an impressive opening drive, and Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes as the Packers beat the Oakland Raiders 31-21 Friday night.

Rodgers found Jordy Nelson for a 12 yard score on fourth down early in the second quarter to give Green Bay a 14-7 lead. The Packers went for two point conversions after several touchdowns, with mixed results.

Andrew Quarless hauled in a touchdown catch to make it 22-7 Packers midway through the second quarter, capping the scoring by the starters. Scott Tolzien threw for 107 yards and a touchdown, and Matt Flynn threw for just 37 yards and in interception, both in relief of Rodgers after his 139 yard, 2 touchdown day.

The Packers wrap up the preseason next Thursday at Lambeau Field against the Kansas City Chiefs. The game can be seen in Spanish on Telemundo Wisconsin.
