Road work to begin on I-94 in Racine and Milwaukee Counties

RACINE COUNTY - More road construction is about to begin in Southeastern Wisconsin. Crews will resurface I-94 in both directions from County Road K-R in Racine County to Drexel Avenue in Milwaukee County. Most of the work will be done overnight with double lane closures, but there will be single lane closures during the day as well. Officials with the Wisconsin D.O.T. say this project has been in the works for awhile, but now it's time smooth out the rough patches of the Interstate. Work begins first thing Monday morning with one lane closed northbound at County Road K-R. Crews will handle the Racine county portion of I-94 before moving to the Milwaukee County section. The project is expected to wrap up late summer.
