Road Closures Downtown on Monday for Pre-election Activities

Pre-election activities scheduled for Monday will cause downtown Milwaukee traffic and pedestrian impacts, according to Milwaukee Police.

The public should be aware of the following as traffic patterns will be impacted affecting downtown activities and the Monday evening commute:

Beginning at 1:00 PM, West Wells Street from North Plankinton Avenue to North Water Street will be closed to vehicular traffic

Beginning at 2:00 PM, West Kilbourn Avenue and West State Street from North 4th to North 6th Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic

Beginning at 2:00 PM, the southbound lanes of North Water Street from East Wells Street to East Kilbourn Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic

Vehicles parked in posted “No Parking” areas near and around these locations will be ticketed and towed.

MPD will have extra officers in the area to ensure safety and security, and to assist the public during the pre-election activities.
