Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Takes Place at Milwaukee River

A celebration at the Milwaukee River on Thursday morning.

This ribbon cutting ceremony at Lincoln Park marked the end of a four-year cleanup project.

Crews removed 171,000 cubic yards of sediment from areas that were contaminated with PCBs.

These are chemicals dumped by industrial companies.

The 43-million dollar cost for the project was shared by the EPA, the Wisconsin DNR and the Milwaukee County Park System.
