MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The American Red Cross is helping those impacted by a fire at senior living apartments on Milwaukee's east side.
On Nov. 12, three seniors and residents at 91 apartment units were displaced after a fire broke out at the Cambridge Apartments.
On Monday, the Red Cross, along with the Salvation Army and Feeding America, coordinated a multi-agency resource center.
Red Cross workers were on hand at the Cambridge Apartments to provide resources for seniors, including shelter and food.
"The biggest need today is food, because power was out in this building for a little while, so a lot of people had refrigerators full of food, that unfortunately, are not able to be saved," said Tom Bray, disaster action team volunteer with the American Red Cross.
To help address this need, the organizations gave seniors a box of non-perishable food items, along with a hot meal.
The Red Cross asks anyone in need of assistance from the fire to call 1-800-RED CROSS.
