Reports: HBO Acquires Rights to the James Foley Documentary

HBO has acquired the rights to a documentary on the James Foley’s story, according to Variety.com.

The documentary is called “Jim: The James Foley Story.”

Foley was a Marquette alum who was kidnapped and killed by ISIS.

The documentary was directed by Brian Oaks. And it will premiere at Sundance Film Festival and then premiere on HBO on February 6.

“Through interviews with his family, friends and fellow journalists, details of Foley’s life will be shared, chronicling a story of bravery, compassion and pain at the head of America’s war with ISIS,” reports Variety.

Oakes was a childhood friend of Foley.
