Report: Packers to bring in Flynn for workout

GREEN BAY - the search for capable quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers' absence continues.

Ian Rapoport of nfl.com reports that the Packers plan to bring former quarterback Matt Flynn to Green Bay for a workout 'sometime soon', indicating that the Packers aren't interested in immediately making Flynn a starter.

Flynn was released by the Buffalo Bills Monday and cleared waivers soon after. He was released by the Oakland Raiders earlier this season after starting one game.

Flynn was Aaron Rodgers backup for years in Green Bay, and once threw six touchdown passes filling in for Rodgers at the end of the 2011 regular season.
