REPORT: MPS Superintendent may leave for Baltimore School District

MILWAUKEE -- WBAL-TV in Baltimore is reporting MPS Superintendent Dr. Gregory Thornton may be leaving Milwaukee to serve as the Baltimore City Public Schools CEO. Dr. Thronton has been superintendent of the Milwaukee Public School District since 2010.


The Milwaukee Public School District serves around 78,000 students while the district Thornton may go to serves just under 85,000 students. 


We have reached out to the Milwaukee Public School District for statement on these reports, and have yet to hear from the district.
