Remembering Alexis Patterson

13 years ago 7-year-old Alexis Patterson disappeared on her way to school in Milwaukee.

There was a touching ceremony in her honor Sunday morning

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke makes sure no one forgets Alexis Patterson.

Every year on the anniversary of her disappearance, Clarke holds a wreath laying ceremony.

According to investigators Alexis Patterson was one her way to Hi-Mount Community School when she disappeared back in 2002. Her stepfather said he took her to school and he last saw her crossing the street toward the school. Sheriff clarke tells us he knows someone out there knows something.

\"I know how these things work, I know how they go. Sometimes it might be decades. We need to know. We need closure, this community needs closure. The family needs closure,\" said Clarke.

There is a 10-thousand dollar reward for anyone with information that leads to her whereabouts.
