Red Cross volunteers leave for Illinois

MILWAUKEE -- Instead of spending Thanksgiving at home with their loved ones, local volunteers are heading to the disaster in Illinois.

Two local Red Cross volunteers have just left town.

They pulled out in a Red Cross vehicle at about 5:00am and they're headed for the tornado damage zone in central Illinois.

Volunteers were so moved by the destruction that they're committing two weeks to help survivors whose entire neighborhood has been wiped out.

The volunteers will provide hot meals and other relief to the storm vicitms.
