Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Bunilla
WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The American Red Cross of Wisconsin will send help before the storm hits.
Regional CEO Patty Flowers says 16 people are ready to go to the east coast so far.
Some volunteers leave as early as Tuesday.
They'll travel to the staging area in Raleigh, North Carolina and wait for an assignment.
"As soon as they get one and it's safe, they'll roll out into neighborhoods that have been affected and bring food and water and kits and sometimes they'll have nurses on to check and see if anyone needs medication and just to listen to them and make sure they're okay," said Patty Flowers with the Red Cross.
Some volunteers will fly to the affected areas. Others will travel by emergency response vehicles.
