Red Cross assists three in Milwaukee after early morning fire

The Red Cross is assisting a family of 3 after an early morning fire in their home on Milwaukee’s north side.    According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the fire was reported around 12:45 AM in a 2 ½ story wood frame home at N 9th and W Wright Streets.   The occupants of the structure were able to get out to the house unassisted.  No one was injured in he fire.   MFD officials say the fire was contained in the first floor walls of the structure.   Damage is estimated at $70,000 and the cause is under investigation.
