Record high for Sunday! More heat for Memorial Day.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in the month of May happened today!  95 scorching degrees broke the old record of 94 back in 1911.

It's been over 200 days since we had highs in the 90s.  You have to go back to late September.  The last hotter day was back in July of 2012!  For the entire year Milwaukee averages 9 days; Milwaukee doesn't even average a 90 degree day in May.

Memorial Day should be hot one again.  Areas well west of the lake will have a good chance to get back into the low to middle 90s; however, it will be a tricky forecast along the lake.  During the afternoon a southeast wind will develop, and that should drop highs back into the 80s.
