WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) says a recall has been issued for Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs sold at Aldi supermarkets nationwide.

The products may be contaminated with metal, according to the FSIS. They say the problem was discovered after they received a complaint from a consumer regarding metal fragments.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The affected products were produced on July 30, 2025, and sold in 32-oz. bags containing about 64 meatballs per package, with the best by date of Oct. 30, 2026.

Anyone who has purchased these products should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
