Rainy, Raw Wednesday Ahead

Wednesday will certainly not be a "Chamber of Commerce" weather day around southeast Wisconsin.  Expect several waves of heavy rain, adding up to at least two inches in spots.

This is all in response to low pressure moving in from the west.  (If this was a few months later, we'd be talking wintry weather.  Maybe even lots of snow...)

The timing of the rain won't be great either, happening during the morning rush and continuing on/off during the afternoon before tapering off in the evening. I mentioned yesterday it's a good idea to make sure your storm drains are cleared to prevent localized ponding and flooding.

We also have a Gale Warning on Lake Michigan throughout Wednesday as well.  We could have wave heights close to 12 feet as well as wind gusts more than 40 mph (knots).

This is a good time to download the free CBS58 weather app before the rain arrives.  You can also send us fall foliage via the app, or you can email us at [email protected].
