Rain to Start the Weekend

We just got over our last chance for rain but another batch is moving our way. Scattered rain showers and storms will be possible all day on Friday lasting a little into Saturday morning. Although there will be dry periods it's hard to pinpoint when exactly when those dry times will occur.

Up to a half inch of rain will be possible but heavier amounts may be possible with thunderstorms that develop. It looks like everyone will see at least a little rain, but some will certainly see more than others depending on when storms develop.

The rain comes at a good time since a lot of area streams and rivers are beginning to come down after last week's flooding rains. The flooding risk is not very high with Friday's rain. Most places should be able to handle anything up to 1.5" of rain in three hours which we should be under. If we don't get a few tenths of an inch of rain by the end of the weekend, we will see a rain deficit return.
