Rain & Storms Tonight, Much Cooler for Tuesday

Thankfully the area will pick up on some much needed rainfall tonight into early Tuesday morning,  A strong cold front will be the driving force behind scattered showers and storms.

More storms are expected to arrive between 7 pm and Midnight.  Locally heavy rain, some lightning, and brief gusty winds are possible; however, the severe threat will be extremely low with the lack of instability.  The round of rain and storms this morning helped to flush out any decent severe weather ingredients.

Once the front comes through we will drop some 20 degrees by tomorrow afternoon.  Highs will only climb into the upper 60s thanks to that northeast flow off the lake.  The surface water is right around 60 degrees, so that's going to be a cool wind off the water.
