Thanks to fundraising efforts by B100 and 95.3 MNC, more than $73,500 was raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The St. Jude Radiothon kicked off early Thursday morning.
Families with children being treated at the hospital will never see a bill and can solely focus on the child’s recovery, all because of donations.
“The fundraising dollars go directly to patient care, to research. No family ever receives a bill for anything at St. Jude. Not for travel, treatment, housing or food,” said Nichole Ornelas, associate director of ALSAC St. Jude.
The radiothon continues through Friday.
If you call in, there is a good chance a member of ABC 57 News will be on the other end. Anchors Emily Evans, Drew Gardner, Colleen Bormann and Brian Dorman are all lending a hand.
