Racine's First Fridays returns July 11 with Blues, Brews and Barbecue
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- First Fridays has become a Racine favorite bringing thousands of people to the downtown area for live music, food and a fun time.
This month, the theme is Blues, Brews and Barbecue. More than a dozen businesses along Main Street will have live music and free brew samples. Monument square park will host a main stage with international Blues artist Ivy Ford.
"We’ve got 5- 6 Barbecue food trucks, which is delicious, along with other vendors," said Kelly Kruse with Downtown Racine Corp.
It's an opportunity for the city to show off its businesses and lakefront amenities.
"They all stay open late, they roll out their red carpet and they’re all doing specials themselves, so it’s really this big street festival and celebration of supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, live music," said Kruse.
The event kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 11 and goes until 9 p.m.
