Racine Zoo to Host Animal Amore Valentine's Day Event

The Racine Zoo is hosting its first-ever Animal Amore Valentine’s event on February 13 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the historic Vanishing Kingdom building on Zoo campus.

The event includes a gourmet dinner specially created by Chef Mike of Gooseberries Catering, signature drinks, appetizers, and a very special presentation about love in the animal kingdom.

“This is a perfect date night event for those looking for something a little different for Valentine’s Day,” said Beth Heidorn, Executive Director of the Racine Zoo.  “Animal love is very similar to human love but a lot more interesting! We’re certainly setting the mood for romance.”

Animal Amore takes a closer look at all things love related within the animal kingdom answering questions such as does animal love really exist? Does it last? How do they court one another? What about finding that mate or reproducing?

Tickets to Animal Amore are $50 per person for current Zoo members and $65 per person for non-Zoo members.  Admission includes drinks, appetizers, a gourmet sit-down dinner specially designed by Chef Mike at Gooseberries Catering, and a special presentation about animal love.
