RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo is looking ahead to a packed calendar of events over the course of the coming weeks.
Executive Director Beth Heidorn joined us on Monday, May 27 to preview what's ahead.
Zoorific Saturday, African Penguin Awareness Day, will take place on Saturday, June 8 with crafts, games and more.
A Round for Rhinos is scheduled for Monday, June 17, with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Country Club. The 9-hole charity golf outing will support the zoo's animal care needs. Tickets include golf, dinner, and more.
World Roar Wine Pour Wednesday will be held on June 19 and Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring beer and wine tastings, hors d'oeuvres and an animal ambassador. Admission is $35, or $25 for non-drinkers.
Breakfast with the Giraffes is set for Sunday, July 28, and Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., offering a breakfast buffet and a giraffe encounter along the lakefront.
