RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo is hosting a series of educational programs and fundraising events in March. Beth Heidorn, executive director, and Abby Flores, conservation education manager, joined us to offer a preview on Monday, Feb. 24.
Events include Lil’ Explorers preschool classes, which provide structured learning experiences for children ages 2-5. Spring Break Camp, running April 21-25, will offer hands-on activities and animal encounters for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Call Me Old Fashioned, set for Thursday, March 20, will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for guests 21 and older. A Round for Rhinos, a charity golf outing on June 23, will raise funds for the zoo’s animal care programs.
