Racine parking restrictions in effect due to Snow Emergency

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The National Weather Service is predicting a significant snow fall today.   To aid the City snow removal operations, the Commissioner of Public Works hereby declares a Snow Emergency in the City of Racine effective at 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 25, which will remain in effect until 6:00 A.M., Monday, November 26.   During the Snow Emergency  no parking  is allowed on either side of the arterial streets, and all cars must be parked on the even side of all local streets beginning at 6:00 PM, Sunday.  Parking restrictions during this period will allow crews to remove as much snow as possible from the full width of arterial streets before the start of the morning commute.

The National Weather Service  has issued a blizzard warning for Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. Strong winds between 30 and 40 miles per hour are expected to develop along with 5” to 8” of snow which will cause issues tonight.
