RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- An upcoming Community and Veterans Mental Health Awareness Retreat with VFW Post 1391 & Racine YMCA hopes to help our veterans.
Matthew Gorbaty, VFW Post 1391 Adjutant, joined us in studio to discuss the event.
It's taking place on March 25, 2023 from 11am – 5 pm.
The VFW & YMCA partnered to put on a Mental Health Awareness Retreat.
They hope to raise awareness about mental health and resources available. There will be 30 vendors focused on mental health and wellness there. Aurora Healthcare, Rosecranse Health Network, NAMI, Captain John D Mason Veterans Outreach are a few of those.
Gorbaty says they are excited to welcome Tom Farley – Author of The Chris Farley Show – motivational speaker about mental health awareness at 1 pm on March 25.
There will also be: Raffles / Silent Auction - food and new sox drive - Cornhole Tournament - Food from Mynak Meats and Eats available for purchase onsite.
