Racine & Me: Snow White Opens Racine Theatre Guild’s Children’s Season

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Racine Children’s Theatre (RCT) 93rd Season will return with “Snow White” running from Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine. In this quirky retelling of the beloved fairy tale, we embark on a journey with a young witch who grows into a vain Queen who demands to be the fairest one of all! This updated version of the Brothers Grimm tale unveils the villain’s perspective, from her tragic childhood to her quest for revenge. So how did the story really go? Join all seven quirky dwarves, a tongue-tied prince, a sassy mirror, a dancing chicken, and of course Snow White, in a tale about friendship and happily-ever-afters with a twist in finding your beauty without a mirror. Sponsored by SC Johnon, the RCT series’ elephant mascot, Packy, will greet the audience at each performance. Plays and musicals are based on many classic and timeless children’s stories and include audience interaction and imaginative play. Performances are around an hour in length and are great ways to introduce children to theatre and the arts, while inspiring creative memories. “Snow White” performances will take place on Friday, October 3 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 at 12, 2, and 4 p.m.

Recommended for ages 4 and above, season tickets are available for $20, Packy passes for $24, and individual tickets are just $7 each for all ages with general seating for each performance. Love, Ruby Valentine March 20 – 22, 2026 Presented by bug in a rug Join Ruby and her parrot, Lovebird, as they prepare for Valentine’s Day. It’s Ruby’s favorite day of the year because she gets to say “I love you” to everyone and makes cards and treats to deliver throughout town. When she accidentally sleeps through the big day, Ruby is worried she missed her chance to spread the love. This musical adaptation of the beautiful story by Laurie Friedman reminds us that every day is the perfect day to say “I love you.”
