Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Imagine a child in your neighborhood who doesn’t have a bed—a boy or a girl who has to sleep on the floor. The non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace works to make sure no kids sleep on the floor. The Racine-Kenosha Chapter is getting ready to celebrate one year. The Chapter President highlights the need for beds in Racine and invites the public to make a bed at the upcoming Bunks Across America event.

Building the Bunks

Two volunteers with Sleep in Heavenly Peace explain how easy it is to build a bed for a child. Hear their stories not only of the building experience, but delivery day too. The men are fathers themselves and also talk about the importance of kids having a good night’s sleep.
