RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Busia’s XOXO is more than a bakery or a shop—it’s a place built on love, legacy, and connection.

Inspired by Busia—the Polish word for grandmother—the space is rooted in family traditions passed down through generations. Heirloom Polish recipes are at the heart of the bakery, offering nostalgic favorites like Polish cheesetorte and kolaczki, made to evoke the comfort of home and the warmth of shared memories.

Beyond the bakery case, Busia’s XOXO also serves as a thoughtfully curated marketplace. The shop features handmade goods from local artisans, giving customers the opportunity to support many small businesses under one roof. Every item is chosen with intention, reflecting craftsmanship, care, and community.

The journey to reopening Busia’s XOXO is also deeply personal. Just one month after the original store opened, the owner’s husband, John, passed away. Rebuilding the space became more than reopening a business—it became a way to continue something they believed in together.

Today, Busia’s XOXO stands as a welcoming gathering place where people come not just to shop, but to connect. In addition to baked goods and artisan products, the shop hosts workshops and community events, creating opportunities for learning, creativity, and shared experiences.

At its core, Busia’s XOXO is about belonging. It’s a space where customers feel at home, relationships are built, and community support runs deep—something its loyal patrons proudly describe as the best.
