Shane Stanger, who was charged with over 70 sex crimes involving women and children, will spend over 40 years behind bars.

"With respect to the counts of one through six, the court is going to sentence Mr. Stanger to the Wisconsin state prison system for a period of 35 years," said Judge Timothy Boyle.

This case lasted about three years in Racine, and now finally has come to an end. The judge gave time for 45 charges against Stanger, adding up to 43 years and nine months in a cell.

The investigation unveiled numerous acts of sexual assault to two adults and a juvenile all found on Stanger's laptop and cellphone.

It was also discovered that the 48-year-old also set up hidden cameras that captured victims showering and using the restroom.

The victims ranged in age from 5 to about 40 years old.

What prompted the investigation was when Stanger's ex-partner found videos of herself unconscious while Stanger was taking advantage of her.

The state says his assaults were calculated.

"The defendant recorded it all, he took effort to set up a camera originally, he took effort to move the camera," said the state attorney.

Stanger's defense asked for 10 to 15 years. Stanger appearing emotionless up until he offered an apology to his family.

"I am sorry for the ill will I caused them," said Stanger.

The state mentioned how traumatized Stanger's victims are. Those in court Friday were too distraught to go on camera.
