Police say the incident began Tuesday, Feb.3, when an officer saw Dixon in the Mayfair Mall parking lot after he'd been told to leave the property. Officials say a license plate check of Dixon's vehicle revealed he'd been involved in a domestic violence incident and pursuit with the Oak Creek Police Department earlier in the day, as well as a separate pursuit with Brown Deer law enforcement.
According to police, Dixon refused to stop for officers and a pursuit began. At one point, authorities say Dixon got out of his vehicle and into an unoccupied Wauwatosa squad car, backed it up, and knocked several officers to the ground before again taking off.
Dixon was eventually arrested after crashing into another squad and attempting to flee on foot.
All injured officers have been treated and are back to full-time duty.
Wauwatosa police say additional charges are pending.
Dixon remains in custody at the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility.
