Racine County Sheriff's Office to Buy 170 Cameras

The Racine County Board approved a 5-year contract with Taser to buy 170 cameras for the Sheriff's Office.

It will be one of the first to outfit its entire patrol and jail divisions with the devices.

Deputies will be trained this fall and equipped with the cameras by the end of the year.

Body cams have become more common throughout the country in the wake of high-profile police shootings.
